Ever since I was a young child baking has been passion of mine. Whether you are alone, chilling with friends or even just really stressed out and needing a way to relax, baking for me has always been a place for me to go. Baked goods are not just delicious but are also extremely fun to make and when you gift someone something your created with your very own two hands, it makes it that much more special. I have never been one for sports, dance or any of those co-curriculars because I am not all that coordinated, so baking is the way I love to pass the time and is a skill I have been working on for a great number years now. This blog is a place where my love of baking and photography meet hand in hand and is also a place filled with my all time favourite recipes. So join me on my baking journey, it does not matter who you are and why you want to learn, just dive in or "dig in" and lets make some SCRUMPTIOUS food!

Norwegian Lace Cookies

Norwegian Lace Cookies

I grew up with these cookies  and they are my (and my dads) all-time favourite! These beautiful cookies are perfect for any occasion, a party, a desert, or for just for munching  on while you sit on the couch and watch Netflix!  Trust me, you will be addicted to these scrumptious treats in no time!


  • 2/3 (or 150g) of a cup of butter or margarine

  • 3/4 of a cup of sugar

  • 1/4 of a cup of golden (or corn) syrup

  • 3 Tbsp of whipping cream

  • 3/4 of a cup of rolled oats

  • 1 cup of all purpose flour

  • 1/2 a tsp of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar (or half a teaspoon of vanilla extract



  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit or 350 degrees for convection bake ovens

  2. Melt butter in a medium size saucepan on a low heat

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients when butter is melted into saucepan, stir until it thickens a little bit

  4. Spoon small (or as I did quite large if you want bigger cookies) scoops of the mixture on a greased or parchment paper covered pan 

  5. Bake on lower or middle rack of oven

  6. Bake for 5-7 minutes (check them at 5)

  7. Leave to cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
